Hello fellow authors:

I'm David Steel.

I'm the founder and CEO at WritersLife.org. If you're reading this, you're probably familiar with my work, and you've seen it all across the site. I'm incredibly proud of what we've accomplished - from the work on YouTube, the blog, to in depth training and personal coaching, I've helped a lot of aspiring authors refine their craft AND turn it into something steady and reliable.

More importantly, I've helped people find a lot of freedom in their business, that's something that I'm really proud of.

But the contents of this particular page are very unique, because even though I've trained hundreds of authors to improve every aspect of their writing life, the subject on this page is the one that I think brings writers the most happiness.

You only need a few sales per day to find

amazing, breakthrough success as a children's author!

I don't think I've ever seen a writer that was more thrilled when their work got off the ground than when they were working on children's books.

There's something about a great children's book (targeted at ANY age group) that can really stir us in ways that we didn't think was possible.

It comes from a lot of places.

Parents who spend years fantasizing to themselves about the kind of stories that they tell their children, sometimes they have specific stories that they've made up with their child or alongside them or for them, and they have a unique pull in the minds of somebody that's really close to them.

And when they're able to tell that story, when they're able to share that with not just one kid, but an entire neighborhood of kids, or an entire city of kids, or an entire country of kids, it's incredible. And when you can go international, it's even more incredible than that.

I love how good that feels.

And look, if we were exclusively here to advance spiritually, we could all move to the top of a high mountain and get in the lotus pose and hum together and have a great feeling of enlightenment.

When a kid wants to read a book over and over again, they're thrilled, they're entertained, and you've reached a really deep part of that child's psyche and made them happy, there's nothing like it in the world.

Whether You're Writing For Business Or Pleasure:

Children's Books Are Really The Best Of Both Worlds!

And let's face it, when we were kids, we were not exactly getting the world's best entertainment.

When I was a kid, most of the shows and entertainment that was targeted at me were really glorified toy commercials, ads for board games.

Some of the very first video games were being marketed to kids that time period.

There was very little emotional heft or uplift in the stories that we saw, partially because there wasn't anything that existed to be recorded. There were no DVRs. There was no cable television. DVDs of kids entertainment certainly hadn't been invented yet. There certainly weren't any streaming services.

And at the end of the day... it was a disposable form of entertainment.

Books really were the most memorable and noteworthy form of entertainment for kids back then. It was meatier. It was more substantial. And as I got older, I saw that children's books were tackling heavier themes and were really talking about things that I was relating to more than the cartoons.

But you have to understand that it's a different landscape now.

Kids are awash in options - they're watching Netflix. They're watching Disney Plus. They're watching Hulu. These are huge budget productions, which means that we as authors HAVE to be sharper than ever.

The children's publishing world, just like the rest of the publishing world, is fierce, competitive, and toxic.

And I know so many talented writers who've created great works that have sat on the shelf because they were waiting for some publisher to swoop in and lead them to the promised land.

They were waiting for an agent to pick them out of a row of aspiring authors, like a Hollywood producer grabbing a Waffle House waitress out of obscurity, to handle all the business end for them and to take them to greatness. And it just rarely happened.

We as authors have got to do this work for ourselves, and we have to bring our entire selves with it with a very intentional self. And we have to do it with a very intentional plan.

I've Developed A Plan That Makes Writing Simpler.

You're Going To Have EVERYTHING You Need To Make This Work!

You have an opportunity to really instill values in a child when you write a great story. You also have an opportunity to be a benchmark for the other entertainment that a kid looks at.

But you can't sit down in front of a desk and decide to teach a lesson when you write a children's book. E B White says  "Anyone who writes down to children is wasting his time. You have to write up, not down. Children are demanding." and that's incredibly true.

Children are very demanding readers and every word we write has to be gripping, memorable and cool. What makes writing a children's book a little bit harder is that you're actually writing for two groups of people when you think about it:

You're writing for the child, who's the one that's going to be consuming the book and delivering a verdict, but you've also got to write in a way that appeals to the parent. Because they're the ones that are going to actually make the purchase and give it to the kid.

I have helped dozens of authors write their first children's books without having to go through the hurdles of the traditional publishing world.

Instead, you're going directly to the marketplace, going directly to parents and activating all of the hidden traps inside that parent's brain to make them buy your book and share it with their kid. And once it's in front of a child, that's where the real magic happens.

Because books for children, even when they're books written for young children, have many of the same elements of storytelling, that books that are targeted towards adults do.

You're going to have to write with strong characters and good prose and empathy for a child.

Frankly, Nothing Else Comes Close To What We’re Sharing With You Inside This Video Course!

Introducing "The Children's

Book Blueprint: How To Publish

Books That Kids Will Love!"

It represents hours, it represents years of labor, not just the successes, but the failures. It represents a lot of talking to students and clients and learning what worked and what didn't. Refining this stuff to its strongest and the most succinct form so that you can go out and write a children's book that everybody loves.

I've never made a course that I am this proud of.

Not just because of the quality of the instruction, but because of the happiness that I know that it can deliver writers. And because we really thought about the basics, we analyze some of the best children's books and films and stories that exist in literature.

And we looked for the best ideas. We looked for the pieces of storytelling that all of these great stories kind of had in common. And they're the same basics of storytelling that make any good book work. The only difference is that the mind of a child and the things that they fixate on are just a little bit different. There are some specifics that you've got to know when you are making children's fiction.

And I want to walk you through those so that no matter what age you're writing at, whether it's picture books or transition books or young adult fiction, you will have a good, solid understanding of how to go forward.

Remember that kids aren't going to read ONE book from an author or series they love.

And this course is all about both creating a book that is of the highest possible quality AND the specific tips for promoting the book and making sure theres a long line of enthusiastic buyers, building a mailing list of people who want EVERYTHING you're doing.

Can You Spare Just Five Minutes

To Totally To Learn Something Game-Changing?

Just because something is simple, doesn't make it easy.

Children's books can be one of the most simple forms of entertainment that there are, but it doesn't mean that these books are necessarily easier to write.

Even something like a picture book can be short, but it still requires a deft artistic touch. It's a little bit like writing poetry. You need to have a very strong command of language to write something that is that brief and effective and impactful.

And this course is going to be good for children of all ages to start reading a book by you that they enjoy.

I'm going to teach you exactly what works when it comes to making children's literature and what doesn't. I've taken loose ideas for storylines and turned them into an amazing series.

I've covered the details, and this is a lot simpler than you would think.

And obviously, when you are faced with something with this much potential, it is easy to get cold feet. So I want to make sure you understand:

  • You do not need to be an expert writer to write a good children's book. Most of the lessons just require a little attention, guidance, and imagination.
  • You don’t need lots of connections. I’ll show you how I promote my books on the most important networks for free!
  • You don't need a lot of money. Children's books are incredible because they are so popular. It's so easy to get them in front of parents, because as obsessive as mothers can be, when they're reading their own books, children have an incredible appetite for reading. I know I did.
  • You don't even have to write. It's easy to get help writing a children's book. There are plenty of specialists who already have that command of language, who already have that command of plot and tension, and they're happy to get in the trenches and help you translate your great idea into something that is memorable.
  • And So Much More...

Nothing else is going to come CLOSE to what I'm sharing with you.

Listen, I've seen the other classes on children's books, and I've also gone through Google. I've looked at all the blog articles.

This is information that really works, and even better, it is backed by real experience. And that real experience just can't be replaced or replicated.

There’s no way for you to fail, as long as you follow along, use the processes handed to you, and never give up.

After all, you’re getting the real, secrets and ready-made process from someone who walks the walk.

And it's really that simple...

You are looking at a course that's not just one person giving their ramblings into a camera, but a team that put together research, a team that knows how to promote books of any stripe on Google, YouTube, and the Kindle marketplace.

You're looking at a video series that gives you instructions and examples and detailed breakdowns.

I have never found a video course that comes close to the very simple, very trimmed down, gimmick free, right to the good stuff presentation that you're going to find here.

This is literally the reason why our team put this training together. There's no guesswork. There's no muss. There's no fuss. Instead, you will get the actual processes that we are sharing with our own clients to have competitive children's books in every sphere of kids' entertainment across ages, across genders, across races.

This is just the best stuff.

And it's the kind of blueprint that you need for entertainment that stands up to the groundbreaking children's books and entertainment that we have in front of us today.

Even if you're just reading books like This Was Our Pact, Baby Monkey Private Eye, Hair Love, We Don't Eat Our Classmates. So many good books have come out that have been groundbreaking. And this is the blueprint for making a book that fits in that world, that stands up to anything that's been made.

There's no way for you to mess this up either. As long as you stick to the instructions, as long as you use what we're giving to you and as long as you make steady progress and put one foot in front of the other, if you can have the basic kind of perseverance that you would teach to a child, I know that you're going to have success with this.

I would never put it out otherwise.

In the traditional publishing world, these kinds of books take forever because the editors that run the publishing companies, they all know five people on a personal basis that are adorable precocious writers that have adorable precocious books.

There's just tremendous backlog of children's books in the publishing industry.

And frankly, what gets published has nearly nothing to do with what appeals to people. So much of that world is just based on social connections.

But this is a great opportunity for people like us because you can self publish at a much lower rate.

I'm just going to give you everything that I've hidden from the public, everything that I've held back, it's all going to be yours.

Again, We're Delighting Young Readers

With A Small, Consistent Effort!

Now, for the first time, I’m HANDING IT ALL TO YOU…

… so you can use the same techniques and tricks with a suite of great children's books -

Now, you might be thinking…

Why would I share my book marketing secrets with you?

When it comes to children's books, parents are not going to buy your book if it's just sitting there on the digital shelf next to a hundred other books that are written for the same kind of kid, that are similar in style and tone and whimsy and just don't have the same credibility.

It's important that as you write your book and publish it that you recruit a huge number of reviews. If you don't have reviews from people, your book is just going to sit there on the shelf and it's going to do poorly.

In addition to writing a great children's book, I'm going to give you the organic techniques to marketing that will allow you to build a buzz of real human beings that really care about children's entertainment just as much as you do.

People are looking for books like yours right now. You do not have to be some kind of genius. You do not have to already have a huge mailing list. You do not need to already have a bunch of book reviews and a list of reviewers and you don't even need hundreds of dollars in advertising.

Follow The Process, Use Your Imagination:

Build Something Awesome.

Use the formulas, use the ideas, use the templates that I'm going to hand you and you can make a children's book that functions and does well. It's going to have a great cover. It's going to have good content. It's going to have a strong title and it's going to be something that can exist in the real world.

You can do this so much faster than you think.

I don't want to sell this to the general public just yet. I want to really start selling this and sharing it with you, and that's the people who are already subscribers to Writer's Life. That's the people who are already watching the YouTube channel. That's the people that are already reading the articles, because I know that you know me and you trust me and I know that you are a person that will take action on what I share with you.

I think this is an opportunity for both of us to have success... because I am going to give you this book on self-publishing children's books at the lowest possible price.

It's Never Going To Get Less Expensive

You can't afford to pass this by, because this course is going to save you money in terms of clicks & advertisement. Close your eyes and imagine not just the satisfied parents, but the kids who are telling other kids that this is their favorite book, or telling other kids that this is their favorite character.

Getting into the mind of a kid, getting into the mind of a child is maybe the best possible way to make a character feel real forever.

And you're not robbing a bank. You're not knocking out old ladies.

You're doing something that's really cool that you can tell your parents that you're doing and they'll be proud of you. If you tell the people in your community association that you're a children's book author, they're going to want to see the book.

They're going to want to spread the word, and what makes it even better, once you finish this course, you'll know how to print those books out in real life so that you can hand them to people. There's nothing that can make you as an author more credible than that.

So, what’s it going to be?

Let me take all of the risks on your behalf. You order and I will give you access to the course right now at the very low price that's right here. You're going to eliminate all of the anxiety about whether you're writing in the right format or whether you're writing the right way or whether you're promoting the right way. You're going to get rid of any worry about reviews and promotion and eyeballs. It's all been solved for you.

I would love it if you joined me on the other side learning how to make children's books that are simply and absolutely unforgettable. Click this order button and I'll see you on the other side. Thank you for reading.
